IAIP Mission StatementThe International Association of Insurance Professionals serves its members by providing professional education, an environment in which to build business alliances, and the opportunity to make connections with people of differing career paths and levels of experience in the insurance industry.
WELCOME!
The Insurance Professionals of Monterey Bay welcomes you to our website. It is our goal to provide information to our members, and those men and women in the insurance industry interested in our association.
As stated in the Mission Statement above, the focus of the IAIP is to serve its members through education, networking and fellowship. The NAIW (now known as IAIP) was founded in 1938 by Elsie B. Mayer and C. Bertha Rachofsky who joined with nine other Denver insurance women to form an organization for educational purposes. Through its favorable response they investigated the possibility of a national association. An organizational meeting was held in June of 1940 with sixty-five delegates representing 19 groups from 13 states. This meeting resulted in the formation of the National Association of Insurance Women. The constitution and bylaws were adopted, as well as the creed: Fellowship, Loyalty & Education. |
